A lovely witch-friend of mine offered to buy me a starter deck at their favorite little shop and I had to take them up on it.  We went and picked out my very first deck and I became obsessed with learning all there was to know about each card and about getting in touch with my own intuition to be an effective reader.<br><br>I began using tarot as a tool for my own self-regulation.  The way I see it, tarot is a mirror.  It does not fortune-tell or summon spirits&#8211; it simply reflects the deepest parts of your soul back at you, for you to see, confront, love, hold space for, and deal with.  It became a daily ritual, crucial to my understanding of my Self and my place in the Universe.  And then, I started to use it in the same way for others, to help them find their own path.
